Agricultural Produce Market Committee Chandrapur was established on 12/05/1960 as per the provisions of C. P. Ad Berar Act 1935 and its actual functioning started from 01/01/1968. At present, the Market Committee has a total of 138 villages in Chandrapur and Ballarpur talukas including Chandrapur and Ballarpur towns.

The Market Committee is working on a progressive path with the aim of achieving maximum benefit of the farmers by controlling the sale of agricultural produce through e-auction method, storage of agricultural produce, proper measurement, and prompt payment of compensation for mistakes. The Market Committee regulates all types of agricultural products like grains, fruits, vegetables, cotton, red chillies (Sukhi), cattle and sheep, eggs, fish, chickens etc. The main market place is located at Ramnagar, Chandrapur on its own land and 6.60 hectares of government land has been purchased for the market place.
